Yearly Goals and Planning

This past week I have read the yearly recaps of more than a dozen people. They were all the same. Some blow the doors off their goals and some fell well short.

This got me thinking about my own goals and how I wanted to approach them. In business we tend to set very specific metrics with timelines to hit. However, with our personal lives we seem to leave this loose. We use phrases like “this year I’d like to…” with no plan on when or how we’re going to accomplish our goal.

I recently started a new project to separate our my marketing thoughts from my developer focused audience I have here. My first post is on setting marketing goals and touches on some of the points I mentioned above.
