Charging too little is the biggest mistake new freelancers and business owners make. I don’t think they realize how hard it is to go up in price later. If you’ve been working with a client for $60/hour, just try getting them to $140 within 5 years.

The best approach is to start at the best value, dream price. Imagine you are worth $1000/hour and work backwards from there. If they don’t see the value in all the Lightroom work you’re doing, then cut the service offering until you’ve reached an agreeable price. At this point they’ll know you may not be the cheapest, but you deliver the work you said you would.
